Kolkata

We spent the first leg of our journey in West Bengal. We were based in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. While we were staying in Kolkata, we travelled south to the Sundarbans to see the Ganges Delta. We attended a concert by Dohar, a group that performs music traditional to the greater Bengal area, went to outdoor markets, and generally explored the city.
